Description:

This land is currently zoned for Office Park development. Acquisition of this 14 acres will become a part of the 67 acres currently in public ownership for a total of 81 acres. This will provide additional protection of unique and critical wildlife including over 65 species of waterfowl and 35 species of mammals that are known to live here or frequent this site. Additionally, there are 6 rare species of vegetation.

The Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP) is a state grant program that creates and conserves local and state parks, wildlife habitat and working farms. The Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office administers WWRP grants, and the legislature funds the program.
