Local Parks

In 2007 the Washington Legislature approved $100 million in funding the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP).

WWRP grants fund the acquisition, development and renovation of neighborhood parks, ball fields, skate parks, swimming pools and other recreation areas.

Since 1990, the Coalition has secured over $84 million for cities, counties and park districts in Washington State for 331 Local Park projects, leveraging $218 million in local matching funds.
