Amon Basin Project (Phase 1)
Amon Creek was ready for high density residential development. But the area residents saw a different use for the land: Preservation of an intact wildlife corridor and unique urban wild land.

Efforts to protect Amon Creek by the Trust for Public Land, Tapteal Greenway Association and local residents succeeded in saving valuable wetlands, native sage brush steppe and stream side habitats while maintaining a corridor for large and small animals to move throughout the basin.
