State House Proposes $100 Million for WWRP Grants

Yesterday the House passed a two-year capital budget out of committee that doubles funding for the Washington Wildlife and Recreation Program (WWRP).  If approved, this would fund 133 projects including new state and local parks, wildlife habitat, farmland preservation and shoreline protection.

The House budget is scheduled to pass early next week.  Funding is not yet secure in the Senate, which releases its version of the budget Tuesday.  See the Coalition's website for regular updates.
